THE PROBLEM

Is Your Bathroom Floor Letting the Whole Room Down?

The floor is one of the first things people see when they enter a bathroom. Yet, it’s often one of the last things homeowners replace. Cracked grout, chipped tiles, lifting vinyl, and surfaces that always look dirty, even after cleaning. A worn bathroom floor looks tired and makes the whole room feel the same. Plus, it can become a slip hazard over time.

OUR SOLUTION

A New Bathroom Floor. Fitted Properly. Done in 1–2 Days.

We provide and install bathroom floor tiles and luxury vinyl tile in South Wales. We manage everything from surface prep to the final look. Want the look and strength of porcelain tiles? Or prefer the warmth of quality LVT? We’ll help you pick the right choice for your bathroom and ensure a lasting fit.

Everything You Need to Know

Porcelain Floor Tiles

Porcelain is a top choice for bathroom floors in the UK. It’s tough, water-resistant, and comes in many sizes, finishes, and effects. We offer porcelain floor tiles in sizes from standard 600×600 to large-format slabs. They come in matt, polished, and textured anti-slip finishes, perfect for wet bathroom areas.

Ceramic Floor Tiles

Ceramic bathroom floor tiles offer an excellent balance of quality, practicality, and value. Ceramic tiles come in many colors, patterns, and finishes. They fit well in most bathroom floors. When installed on a well-prepared subfloor, they are a durable choice.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

LVT offers a practical and comfy option instead of hard floor tiles. It’s fully waterproof, feels warmer underfoot, and is much quieter than ceramic or porcelain. Quality LVT comes in realistic wood, stone, and slate designs. It’s a popular bathroom flooring choice we often fit in South Wales.

Subfloor Preparation

No bathroom flooring performs well without a properly prepared subfloor. Before any tile or LVT is laid, we assess the existing floor for level, stability, and moisture. We apply a suitable levelling compound when needed. We also address any movement or flex. This ensures the surface is ready for the chosen flooring. This stage is what separates a floor that lasts from one that fails within a few years.

Adhesives & Fixing Systems

We use the right adhesive and fixing system for each flooring type. For wet areas, we use flexible tile adhesive for floor tiles. For LVT, we choose the right adhesive or click-fit systems based on the product specs. Every product used meets the manufacturer’s requirements for bathroom environments.

Finishing & Grout

Floor tile joints are grouted with colour-matched, anti-mould grout suited to the tile format and spacing. Use flexible, waterproof silicone sealant. Apply it to perimeter edges and junctions with walls, baths, and shower trays. Transition strips and threshold profiles fit neatly where the flooring meets another surface.

Free In-Home Consultation

We come to your home in South Wales. We check your bathroom floor and look at the subfloor condition. We also measure the room size and note features that impact your flooring choice. These can include underfloor heating, existing thresholds, or uneven surfaces. We bring tile and LVT samples so you can see the options in your own space before making any decisions. Completely free, no obligation.

Flooring Selection & Quote

Once we know the space and your needs, we create a clear quote. This includes materials, subfloor prep, and installation. The price is agreed and fixed before any work starts, no additions, no changes, once the job is underway.

Subfloor Assessment & Preparation

Before any flooring is laid, we assess the existing subfloor for level, stability, flex, and moisture. We use a levelling compound where needed. We also fix problem areas and prepare the surface for the floor tiles or LVT. This is the most important stage of any flooring job and one we never cut short.

Floor Tile or LVT Installation

Tiles are set out carefully from the correct starting point to ensure a balanced, symmetrical finish across the room. Adhesive is used according to the tile type and wet area needs. Each tile is laid, spaced, and checked for level as the work continues. For LVT, install the flooring according to the manufacturer's guidelines for bathrooms.

Grouting & Sealing

Once the adhesive has cured, floor tile joints are grouted with colour-matched anti-mould grout. All perimeter edges are sealed. Wall junctions are sealed, too. Connections to baths or shower trays use flexible waterproof silicone. Threshold strips and transition profiles are fitted neatly at doorways and floor changes.

Final Walkthrough

We inspect your finished bathroom floor with you. We check every grout line, edge, seal, and transition. We want to ensure you’re completely satisfied before we leave. If anything isn't right, we put it right then and there. The job isn't finished until the floor looks exactly as it should.

FAQ

Common Questions

Still have questions about bathroom flooring across South Wales? We’re happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.

How long does bathroom flooring installation take?

Most bathroom floor tile or LVT installations take one to two days. The time depends on the room size and the condition of the subfloor. If we need to level the floor or remove old flooring first, we’ll include that in the timeline. We’ll confirm everything with you before we start. You’ll always know exactly what to expect before we arrive.

Both are completely waterproof and great for bathrooms, but they feel different underfoot. Porcelain and ceramic floor tiles are tough and long-lasting. They can feel cold, especially without underfloor heating. LVT feels softer and warmer underfoot. It also reduces noise, making it a comfy choice for everyday use, especially in family bathrooms. We’ll give you an honest comparison during your free visit based on your specific bathroom and how you use it.

In some cases, yes, particularly with LVT, which can often be laid over a sound, level existing floor without a full strip-out. The subfloor condition is crucial for floor tiles. If you lay tiles on a flexible or uneven surface, they may crack and fail over time. We always assess the existing floor properly during the consultation and advise on the right approach before quoting.

We can do either. We source quality bathroom floor tiles and LVT from trusted UK suppliers and can bring samples to your home so you can choose in your own light and space. If you’ve bought flooring for us to fit, we can help. We’ll check if it’s suitable and discuss any compatibility issues during the consultation.
